DogFriendlyNoVA.com respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect and how it is used.
Information we collect
We do not require accounts, but several features on this site do collect information you choose to provide:
- Newsletter signup: your email address, so we can send the weekly roundup. Every issue includes an unsubscribe link.
- Find-a-pro lead form: your name, email, optional phone number, the service you need, your area, details about your dog, and your preferred schedule. We share these details with the single matched professional so they can contact you about your request.
- Suggest a listing: the business or event details you submit, plus your name and email so we can follow up.
- Advertising signup: your business name, website, contact email, and the photo you upload, so we can set up and display your placement.
- Reviews and ratings: the name and review text you submit. Ratings are moderated before they appear.
If you email us at [email protected], we receive your email address and message so we can respond.
To request deletion of information you submitted, or for any privacy question, email [email protected].
Cookies and advertising
We have added the Google AdSense verification code to our site while our publisher account is under review. This is a page-level script only, no ad units are serving yet, so no ads are shown. If we begin serving ads in the future, Google uses cookies, including the DoubleClick cookie, to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
If ads are served, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to our website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of some third-party vendors’ uses of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting aboutads.info.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (measurement ID G-KF59NM1GZZ) to understand aggregate site usage, such as which guides get the most visits. Google Analytics uses cookies and may collect information about your device, browser, and how you use the site, as described in Google's own privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser opt-out add-on.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page.
